On the morning of November 5th, the wonderful highlights of the global trade community will be presented at the Shanghai Hongqiao National Convention and Exhibition Center. The first China International Import Expo will be held as scheduled. This is China’s first national import-themed theme. The Expo, a gathering of thousands of businessmen, an enterprise product exhibition, a national trade and investment exhibition, and a high-level parallel forum.
The “National Trade and Investment Comprehensive Exhibition” is the original initiative of the Import Expo. In the 30,000-square-meter national exhibition, a total of 81 booths were set up in 82 countries and 3 international organizations to give the parties ample opportunity to showcase their opportunities.
The participating countries are spread across five continents, both developed and developing and least developed countries. Twelve host countries including Indonesia, Vietnam, Pakistan, South Africa, Egypt, Russia, Britain, Hungary, Germany, Canada, Brazil and Mexico have established unique exhibition halls and sent high-level government delegations.
The national exhibition features are distinctive. The pavilions of various countries make full use of high-tech means and diversified display forms to highlight the unique regional culture and characteristic industrial advantages of the country, covering goods trade, service trade, industrial status, investment tourism and representative products. With the new development concept of “Innovation, Coordination, Green, Openness, and Sharing”, the China Pavilion will showcase China's great achievements in reform and opening up, as well as new opportunities for China's development and joint construction of the “Belt and Road” to the world.
The simultaneous holding of the Economic and Trade Forum at the Import Expo is also the first in China.
The theme of the Hongqiao International Economic and Trade Forum is profound: "Inspire new vitality in global trade and create a new pattern of openness and win-win." At the juncture of unilateralism and protectionism, the international political and business circles have come together to discuss the major frontier issues of global economic and trade. This is a major contribution of the Expo to the world.
Wang Haifeng, director of the International Law Research Office of the Institute of Law of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, believes that the functional orientation of the forum has made the Expo more meaningful, and it has become a bridge between China and the world in the field of trade, and has become a bridge between Shanghai and the country in the field of service trade, becoming a private and government. A bridge in the field of trade. Face-to-face communication provides a solution platform for information asymmetry between countries, countries and peoples, and between enterprises and governments.
